DRIVE Electric for Tesla Login

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
During early 2024, this app will stop working due to Tesla shutting down the unofficial API used by this app. This will also cause the Tizen version of the watch app to stop working.

This free companion app is used to sign in with the discontinued Tizen version of the "DRIVE Electric for Tesla" app. The app will redirect you to Tesla's own website for secure login and return with a short-lived token, and then pass it over to the watch. All communication between the app and wearable is encrypted.

PS! The actual smartwatch app previously found on Galaxy Store is no longer for sale. Existing users with Samsung Galaxy watches running Tizen OS can find the app on Galaxy Store -> Home -> My Apps.

The app uses OAuth2 technology to sign in directly on Tesla's own authentication servers, without the risk of sharing user credentials to any 3rd-parties. The retrieved token is sent encrypted to the watch using the secure Samsung Accessory Protocol or over your local Wifi.

Please make sure SAP is installed on your phone prior to installing this app. If SAP can't be used the Tizen app offers a fallback solution using your local Wifi. SAP is included on all Samsung phones. The fallback solution can also be used by the Wear OS version of the watch app (unpaired).
